Radio and podcast ads are some of my favorite things to write. With no visuals to rely on, every word has to do the work. The challenge is simple: understand exactly who you're speaking to, then build a story that captures attention and makes someone curious enough to act.

For Spinx Tailgates, I leaned into something every football fan in the Carolinas understands — the culture surrounding game day. This is Clemson and Carolina country. Families pass season tickets down through generations. Tailgates happen in the same parking spots year after year. You can hear the stadium roar from outside, and it’s the kind of place where you walk up to a stranger’s setup and leave with a new friend. I wrote the spot with that energy in mind, shifting the narrator into the voice of a live announcer reporting from outside the stadium as the excitement builds.

For Windham Mountain Club, the brief was very different. The goal was to reach affluent New Yorkers and position Windham as the perfect weekend escape from the city. They’re not trying to be the biggest ski destination in the country — they’re the easiest and most enjoyable mountain to get to when you need a break. Knowing the campaign launched during peak tourist season in New York, I focused on something every New Yorker can relate to: long, crowded lines everywhere you go. The concept leaned into Windham’s biggest advantage — wide-open runs and no lines. After several rounds of development, the client selected the “No Lines” script, which we produced and recorded. The spot is now live.
